Video Episode 1: Brazil

Sorry guys that it has been so quiet the last month on this page. I was traveling through Peru and Bolivia with a really bad internet reception on the way. Anyways I got some action prepared for you! Big travel Project

Finally it is the day and I am happy to announce my upcoming travel project starting mid September. I will be one year around the best kitespots of the world. Kiting every day, training, teaching and enjoying life to it’s fullest after my studies. Luckily I was able to win some great sponsors for this project. Of course I would also like to thank my family(!), friends and supporters for everything.

Wintertraining

The season 2012 is ahead and as I got some big plans, like competing in the Kitesurf Trophy and the North German Climbing comps, for this year I have a lot of training ahead. I am pretty happy to have 3 weeks time for Kitesurfing in Egypt this March, but the real strength and power builds up in the winter months. As I am in exam phase I got a lot of time at the moment and I have the opportunity to make up my own schedule. My training schedule is pretty crowded at the mome, having around 10 units a week. The first pillar of my training is the endurance, which I build up in extensive jogging exercises – I try to run around 40km a week with around 10-12km/. As a little motivation I registered for a half marathon (21,5km) in April. My coldest session was in around -15°, where I had icicles in my face – see the picture below.

 

The second pillar is strength and power. This all happens in the gym. Specific training is my climbing training around 2-3 times a week trying to push it to UIAA 8/7a. Apart from that I goto my Box gym 2-3 times a week doing some intense workouts and lifting some weights – this gives me the ultimate power I need for the summer.
